Three from Wichita State Joining the Woodchucks
Wausau, WIS- The Woodchucks announced the addition of three new players from Wichita State today. LHP Reagan Biechler, RHP Taylor Goshen and OF Keenan Eaton will all join the team this summer for their first time.
Reagan Biechler is a 6’1 sophomore from Colorado Spring, CO. As a freshman Biechler made 12 appearances, all in relief with a 2.11 ERA. Biechler has struck out 16 in 18 appearances so far in 2015. His opponents are only batting .228 when they face him.
Taylor Goshen, a 6’ 2 freshman from Fort Wayne, IN, has earned 3 wins for the Shockers, throwing 27 strikeouts in 16 appearances. At Carroll High School Goshen was named first team all-state, Northern Indiana Player of the Year, a North-South All-Star and was a unanimous all-conference selection. He holds school records at Carroll including 128 strikeouts in 75 innings, a 0.93 ERA in a season and a career ERA of 1.83.
Outfielder Keenan Eaton is a 6’ 0 freshman from Parker, CO. Eaton is batting .281 with 3 rbis and a slugging percentage of .375. As a senior in high school Eaton was named all-state, all-league and was an honorable mention All-American. The Phillies selected Eaton in the 39th round of the 2014 draft.
The WISCONSIN WOODCHUCKS Home Opener is Friday, May 29th in the newly renovated Athletic Park with Post Game Fireworks presented by Ministry Health Care. Single game ticket will go on sale in April for the 2015 season.
