Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks’ home opener for the 2015 season was postponed Friday due to inclement weather.
Heavy rains moved into Wausau around 5 p.m. and drenched the field at Athletic Park, forcing the game to be re-scheduled for June 22nd, which is the next time the Madison Mallards will travel to Wausau. The teams will play a doubleheader starting at 5:05 p.m. with a seven-inning game that will be followed by the regularly scheduled game.
The Woodchucks’ new home opener will be tomorrow against the La Crosse Loggers with first pitch occurring at 7:05 p.m.
