Wausau, WIS –  Jared Oliva went 3-for-4 with a home run, three RBI and two runs scored, but the Wisconsin Woodchucks lost 13-4 against the Lakeshore Chinooks Friday at Athletic Park.

Lakeshore took a large lead in the second inning. After scoring one run in the first, the Chinooks crossed five runs on four hits and one error in the second frame. Jake Romano hit a big two-RBI triple and would score to put the Chinooks up 6-0.

The Woodchucks chipped away at the lead in the third with two runs. Ty Black singled and Yusuke Akitoshi walked to put two men on base with two outs. After Albee Weiss singled to load the bases, Jared Oliva hit a two-RBI single, plating Black and Akitoshi.

Oliva brought his hot bat to the plate in the sixth as well and smacked his fourth home run of the season, a solo shot, to make it 6-3.

The Chinook offense found their stride in the final frames though. They scored one run in the eighth, on a Colby Fitch home run, and six more runs in the ninth, putting them ahead 13-3.

Oliva accounted for a fourth run in the ninth. He led off with a single, his third hit of the ballgame, and eventually scored on a groundout from Owen Taylor.

Trevor Dudar had a spectacular relief appearance in the loss. The right-handed pitcher from Midland University went six and one third innings with five hits, one run and five strikeouts.
