Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks’ final game of the season Sunday was cancelled at Athletic Park.

The Woodchucks and Battle Creek Bombers started the contest on time and completed a scoreless first inning. Jared Helmich – who started for the Chucks – retired two batters in the top of the second and then issued two walks before the game went into a rain delay.

Rain continued to soak the field, and after the delay lasted nearly an hour, the game was cancelled.

The Woodchucks finish the season 24-47 overall and 12-24 on the second half.
