Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks have announced the addition of two more players for the 2016 season.  George Janca and Tristan Metta are both right-handed infielders at Texas A&M. 

 

Web_JancaIF – George Janca, 6’2”, (R/R) Freshman, Texas A & M University

Janca is from Georgetown, Texas and attended Georgetown High School.  He earned the title of All-District 17 – 4A First Team as a junior and senior.   As a junior he batted .370 with 6 home runs, 34 RBI and 33 stolen bases. He played summer baseball for the Austin Wings and was named to the All-Tournament team.  He helped lead his team to the playoffs every year that he was on varsity, making it to the State Championships his senior year. 

 

 

 

 

Web_MettenIF – Tristan Metten, 6’1”, (R/R) Freshman, Texas A & M University

Metten is from Dallas, Texas and attended Prestonwood Christian Academy.  He was a 3 year team captain.  He earned the title of First Team All-District, Second Team All-State and Defensive player all in the year of 2014.  His team made the playoffs every year he attended the academy making it as far as the state semi-finals his sophomore and senior year.
