Woodchucks Begin Second Homestand for 2016 Season

Wausau, WIS- The Wisconsin Woodchucks begin their second set of home games on Sunday, June 12 at 3:05 p.m. against the Madison Mallards. The gates will open an hour before the start of each game.

Sunday is Pirates and Princess Night, so wear your best princess gown or pirate garb to the ballpark. It is also the second of three Woody’s Reading Club Nights, presented by Dovorany Orthodontics.

Free Hat Monday’s will continue on June 13.  The first 250 fans through the gate will receive a Woodchuck’s hat. The first pitch against the Mallards is set for 6:35 p.m.

On Tuesday, June 14 the Woodchucks will take on the Kalamazoo Growlers at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday’s game is Kid’s Eat Free night and the first 250 kids, 12 and under receive a complimentary voucher for a free hot dog, chips, and fountain drink.

The series against the Growlers continues on Wednesday, June 15 at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday will be Chucktoberfest, a Bratwurst Appreciation Night!

The Woodchucks take on the Kenosha Kingfish on Thursday, June 16 at 6:35 p.m. The World Famous ZOOperstars, presented by Rib Mountain Paper, will make an appearance at Athletic Park on Thursday. Fans of all ages will be entertained by their live performance. Come meet the characters such as Clammy Sosa, Cow Ripken Jr., or Monkey Mantl.

Join us for a Wine Tasting Event on Friday, June 17 from 6:05 p.m. to 8:05 p.m. as the series wraps up against the Kingfish. The first pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. Friday will be Wausau Youth Baseball & Softball night.

On Friday, McDonald’s will feature surprises throughout the night including Ronald McDonald, giveaways and post-game fireworks.  Be sure to stick around after the game!

Tickets for all home games can be purchased online, at woodchucks.com, by calling the Front Office at 715.845.5055, or by stopping by the Front Office (300 3rd. St. Suite 305, Wausau WI 54403) anytime between 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday. Tickets may also be purchased at the gates the night of the games.
