Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks traveled to Fond du Lac today to take on the Dock Spiders. The Chucks kept it close, but fell 2-0.

 

Starting pitcher Jake Gross did a solid job on the mound with seven strikeouts through five innings. Relief pitchers Orsen Josephina and Joey Hennessey did not give up a run and kept the score locked at 2-0.

 

Unfortunately, the Woodchucks bats could not get going against the Dock Spiders pitcher Peyton Sanderlin, and the Dock Spiders held on for the win.

 

Top Performers

 

Orsen Josephina came out of the bullpen and pitched a scoreless sixth inning with two punchouts.

 

Joey Hennessey had another good night in relief, pitching a scoreless seventh and eighth inning.

 

Brandt Broussard was solid at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two singles.
