Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks got a second chance at the Battle Creek Bombers tonight after falling 5-3 in their earlier game. The ‘Chucks held the lead through the bottom of the seventh inning, but fell to the Bombers with a final score of 7-3.

 

Everett Hurst got his first start on the mound this season, and was solid across five innings. He recorded three strikeouts and only allowed the Bombers to score one run.

 

The Woodchucks were first to score in the fourth inning as Reese Alexiades hit a two-run shot. The Bombers answered quickly with an RBI single. Reese Alexiades hit his second home run of the game in the seventh inning, securing the Woodchucks 3-1 lead, but the Bombers were able to battle back in the final innings of the game to pull out the win.

Reese Alexiades had a stellar night at the plate. Going 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs.
