Two Area Youth Chosen as ‘Kids of the Month’ for March

Wausau, WI — The Woodchucks have selected the first two ‘Kids of the Month’ as a part of the team’s new partnership with Aspirus Health and Aspirus Health Plan to recognize outstanding area youth in a fun way.

Norah is being recognized as one of the Kids of the Month for March. Norah spends much of her free time on the weekends volunteering at the Humane Society of Marathon County. She assists with cleaning kennels, feeding, and socializing the dogs. Norah really shows the animals how much she cares by learning their names and treating every single one of them lovingly. Norah is always so happy when the animals get adopted to their fur-ever homes. Norah aspires to become a veterinarian when she grows up.

We are announcing two area youth as Kids of the Month for March. The other Kid of the Month is Ethan. Ethan is being recognized for the assistance he provides to his neighbors and his caring personality. He can often be found shoveling snow at his neighbors or mowing their lawn, just to help them out, without asking for anything in return. When Ethan senses that someone needs help, or even just someone to talk to, he will make sure to be the person to provide that care, at school, practice or just out and about. Many of the people who nominated Ethan also commented on his strong work ethic.

The Kid of the Month Program is a yearlong program. All area youth selected as Kids of the Months will be recognized at the August 7^th Woodchucks game with one area youth being named Kid of the Year and winning a $1000 scholarship. The Wausau Woodchucks 29^th season starts on Monday, May 30^th on the road. The team’s first home game will be Tuesday, May 31^st, 2022. Gates will open at 5:35pm and first pitch is 6:35pm. Ticket packages and group ticket options are currently available for purchase. Single game tickets go on sale next Monday, April 25^th at 10am.
