Two-Way Chippewa Signs with the Chucks for the 2023 Season

Wausau, WI – Christian Mitchelle, a two-way player from Central Michigan University, will be joining the Woodchucks for the 2023 season.

This season at CMU, Christian has had 22 at-bats with 6 hits, a home run and scored 4 runs. He has also pitched 2 innings for the Chippewas, facing 7 batters and allowing only 1 run. While in High School, Christian led Plainfield East to a 2021 4A Illinois State Championship, as well as earning All-Prairie Conference honors and being named to the Joliet Herald-News Team.

The Woodchucks start their 30th season of Northwoods League Baseball in Madison, WI on Monday, May 29th. The team returns home for the 2023 home opener at Athletic Park on Tuesday, May 30th.
