Woodchucks Lose the First of 12 Against the Rafters
WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. – There were only three runs scored Tuesday night at Witter field, and those
would all be scored by Wisconsin Rapids in a 3-0 loss for Wausau.
All three runs came in the bottom of the first inning, coming off a three-run home run hit by Shane Taylor
(Utah Tech) for Wisconsin Rapids (4-5).
The Woodchucks (6-3) have now dropped two in a row for the first time this season.
Key Moments:
Drew Berkland (Minnesota) hit the only extra base hit for Wausau, that being a double in the seventh inning.
Karl Ralamb (Coastal Carolina) let up the aforementioned three-run home run in the first but settled down
well, only allowing those three runs in five and two thirds pitched while striking out five.
Up Next:
The Woodchucks are right back at Witter Field Wednesday for a second game against the Rafters. First
pitch will be at 6:05 June 7.
