The Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite are looking for Public Address Announcers for their 2026 home schedules at Athletic Park!

Position Overview

The PA Announcer serves as the main voice of the Wausau Woodchucks and Wausau Ignite, working closely with the marketing staff and game day team to create a fun, welcoming, and high-energy atmosphere for fans.

Duties Include:

• Announcing starting lineups

• Delivering public address announcements

• Emceeing presentations and on-field contests

• Operating stadium sound effects and music

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Strong vocal talent

• Friendly, high-energy personality

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lead and engage a crowd

• Comfortable speaking on a microphone to both large and small audiences

• Comfortable pronouncing complex names

• Available to attend 20–25 home games

• Able to arrive 1–1.5 hours prior to assigned events

• Receptive to constructive feedback

• Ability to improvise and react quickly when appropriate

• Strong knowledge of baseball/softball (rules and positions) preferred

• Experience in PA announcing or public speaking preferred
