Passatempo, Walker's offense, Ziegler's pitching drive 'Chucks

 

Thunder Bay, Ontario – The Wisconsin Woodchucks (16-25, 3-3 Second Half) topped the Thunder Bay Border Cats (9-31, 3-2 Second Half), 4-1, at Tbaytel Park at Port Arthur Stadium in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Steve Passatempo (UMass Lowell) went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs batted in.

Robert Zeigler (Kent State) struck out nine batters in seven shutout innings and paced the 'Chucks to victory. The first runs weren't scored until the sixth inning.

Steele Walker (Oklahoma) closed out his hot road trip at the plate, knocking out four singles in five at-bats and scoring twice. He finishes the road trip at 11-for-19 with two homers, five RBIs and eight runs scored in five games. Walker now leads the Northwoods League with a .374 batting average.

Stevie Mangrum (Virginia Tech) added an RBI double, and Cole Daily (Notre Dame) chipped in two hits with two runs scored.
