Walker homers in return
Wausau, WI – The Wisconsin Woodchucks (28-34, 15-12 Second Half) dropped the first of a two-game set to the Lakeshore Chinooks (29-34, 14-13 Second Half), 16-6, Thursday at Athletic Park in Wausau, Wisconsin.
Steele Walker (Oklahoma) homered in his return to the lineup, one of two hits for him on the night. His Northwoods League-leading batting average is still over .400, and he's now accumulated enough plate appearances to qualify for the NWL batting title at the end of the season.
Steve Passatempo (UMass Lowell) added a three-run homer in the first inning, his team-leading 10th of the year. The three RBI boosted him to 53 for the season, second in the NWL.
Jake McMahon (St. Norbert) took the loss for the 'Chucks.
