The Duluth Huskies(24-25) rallied for a comeback victory to beat the Mankato Moondogs(30-21) on a walk off walk by a score of 4-3. Both pitching staffs did very well tonight but the bullpen for the Moondogs were the ones to blow it tonight for the team.

Gaylon Viney(2-3) had a no decision tonight as he went 5.0 innings giving up two runs off of three hits. Viney would be replaced by Ricky Mitchell(1-0) who went 0.2 innings allowing two baserunners, one off a hit and the other off a walk. Trevor Smisek(1-1) would come in to relieve Mitchell but only went 0.2 innings as well. Smisek ended the night giving up one run off of one hit and two walks. Victor Santana(1-0) came in and pitched lights out tonight and picked up the win. Santana shut the door on the Moondogs as he went 2.2 innings and allowed only three baserunners of off one hit and two walks.

The offense was led by Isaac Collins, Alec Abercrombie, and Jack Stronach. Collins finished the night going 0-2 but he had two runs batted in of off two walks. Abercrombie went 2-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Stronach went 1-2 with a run scored, and two runs scored.

It was a wild 9th inning for the Huskies. It started off with Rudy Karre drawing a walk off a full count. After Karre, Jack Stronach had a single into right field. Alec Abercrombie then stepped up and delivered a sac bunt to move both runners into scoring position. Andrew Robinson then came up and was intentionally walked. Isaac Collins would then step in and drew a walk which put a run across the board to tie it up 3-3. With the bases loaded Chase Strumpf steps in and on four straight pitches drew the walk off walk. Huskies are now 9-5 on the 2nd half of the season and are a half game back from first place behind Mankato and Willmar who are both 10-5 on the 2nd half of the season. Huskies will square off against the same Mankato team tomorrow at 3:05 pm.
