At Kapco Park, you'll find great baseball with big league excitement,
delicious food, and affordable fun!
Kapco Park opened in 2012 as a joint venture between Concordia University Wisconsin, private businesses, and community-minded individuals with a passion for serving Southeastern Wisconsin. Located on the scenic bluff campus of Concordia overlooking Lake Michigan, the state-of-the-art baseball facility serves as the home of the Lakeshore Chinooks, proud members of the Northwoods League, and Concordia Falcon Baseball and serves the local community by providing affordable family fun and big league excitement!
With a generous lead gift from Kapco Metal Stampings’ president, Jim Kacmarcik, Kapco Park’s fully synthetic turf field and modern stadium seating that includes reserved seating, general admission areas, lawn seating, two fully serviced fan decks, a newly opened outfield patio and grill area, provides local families and businesses the opportunity to enjoy baseball and community events in a stunningly beautiful location just east of I-43. Kapco Park also features a Kids Zone and Playground as well as the team's merchandise store, The Tackle Box.
Designed as the premier collegiate baseball facility in the area, Kapco Park and Concordia University Wisconsin provide the highest quality playing experience for college athletes from throughout the nation as they compete in the prestigious Northwoods League, a summer collegiate baseball league that provides players with a strenuous schedule that closely mirrors life in minor league baseball. Professional scouts throughout Major League baseball visit Kapco Park to evaluate players in consideration for future MLB drafts.
Significant Baseball Events at Kapco Park
With a sellout capacity for 2,020 fans, Kapco Park’s unique field design pays tribute to Milwaukee’s baseball history through the input of Baseball Hall of Famer and Chinooks Minority Owner Robin Yount. “I wanted to design the dimensions so there would be plenty of action both defensively and offensively,” says Yount. “To me, seeing guys hit home runs is not as exciting as a player running out a triple or an outfielder making a great diving catch.” And with those thoughts in mind Yount made sure there was plenty of room in the gaps for triples and added dimensions which are a tip of the hat to some of his former teammates.
