New Woodchucks Franchise Batting Average and Hitting-Streak record holder, Steele Walker, earned recognition by being named to the 2016 Perfect Game/Rawlings Summer Collegiate All-America Honorable Mention team. Walker set the Woodchucks hitting streak record on July 22 when he recorded his 20th game with a hit, the streak ended at 23 games. To end the season Steele had a .406 batting average, also setting a Woodchucks franchise record in that category.
