There isn’t much to report today in terms of NWL alumni and their status as they try to make an opening day roster. The one piece of news that I have is that Texas Rangers RHP Doug Mathis (Duluth, ’04) was reassigned to minor league camp.
I’m still anxiously awaiting news on Seattle Mariners RHP Chris Jakubauskus (St. Cloud, ’99) who’s still in the mix for a spot with the M’s on opening day. Perhaps we’ll find out tomorrow? Opening day is Monday.
