Chris Jakubauskas will get the spot start tonight for the Seattle Mariners against the Los Angeles Angeles. He’ll start in place of Ryan Rowland-Smith who was recently placed on the disabled list. Jakubauskas, who is 1-0 in two relief appearances, will be making his first Major League start.

Jason Jaramillo has yet to get into a game for the Pirates. Pittsburgh’s backup catcher is waiting patiently as starter Ryan Doumit plays everyday. The game that Jaramillo was going to debut in was rained out last Saturday.

Rain also pushed back the debut of Washington Nationals pitcher Jordan Zimmermann. His scheduled start for Sunday was pushed back one day due to the rainout between the Nationals and Phillies on Wednesday. He’ll start Monday against the Braves.
