Wisconsin Rapids, WI (July 3rd, 2013)–The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters were able to win in convincing fashion in their last home game of the 2013 first half on Wednesday. Thanks to Jackson Slaid (Montevallo) and his teammates, the Rafters dominated in front of their home crowd.

Slaid went 3/4 with five RBI and three runs scored, and his effort was charged by two home runs. The homers were his 8th and 9th on the season, and the five RBI helped him finish with 28 in the first half. Slaid finished the first half as one of the star offensive players in the league.

Wisconsin Rapids will open the 2nd half at home at 3:05 against La Crosse on Thursday.
