Madison, WI (August 15th, 2013)–The Madison Mallards won game one of the Summer Collegiate World Series on Thursday by beating the Duluth Huskies in Madison. While the Mallards struggled to prevent Duluth from scoring, they got a key performance late to seal the win.
Charlie Naso (Illinois) pitched two innings and allowed one run as he held onto the lead on Thursday. Naso allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out three batters and locking things down.
Game two of the series will be held in Duluth on Friday at 6:35.
