The Rafters were led by an impressive hitting display in their season opener, leading to their first victory of the season. Wisconsin Rapids Catcher Kyle Devin went 4-for-4 with a double, 2 RBIs, and scored three times in the team’s 13-4 win over their south division rival Wisconsin Woodchucks. Devin, a sophomore from Rhode Island followed his perfect game one performance by starting off game two of the Wednesday doubleheader with another single, giving him five hits on the night before rain postponed the game in the 5th inning, which will be completed on July 6th when both teams will face off again.
Wisconsin Rapids will head to La Crosse to begin a two-game series with the Loggers set to take at 7:05 PM.
