The Kingfish moved to 2-1 on the season, led by an impressive start by right-hander Andrew Zapata, who completely shut down the defending champs.
Zapata, a sophomore from the University of Connecticut kept Lakeshore off-balance all game, going 5 2/3 innings, scattering five hits, surrendering only two walks and striking out seven. Kenosha would go on to complete the shut out of the Chinooks by a final of 9-0.
