The Rafters took game one of their day/night doubleheader against the Growlers by a score of 5-0, led by an absolutely lights out relief performance by their pitcher James Davitt.
Davitt started the game, which was continued from the 4th inning after being suspended last night, and went the distance going 5 1/3 inning and struck out nine. The right-hander from Bryant allowed just one base runner, hitting a Growler batter in the 5th inning, but preceded to sit down the final 18 Growlers hitters, winning his second game of the year. Davitt now owns a 1.14 ERA with 19 strikeouts through 15 2/3 innings.
Wisconsin Rapids will look to retain their second place mark in the South standings, as they travel to Mequon to take on Lakeshore at 6:35 PM.
