The Chinooks took game two of their home series against the Bombers for a series split, winning by a narrow margin of 2-0, lifted by a terrific outing from their starter Joe Stoll.
Stoll dominated the Battle Creek lineup throughout, throwing seven shut out innings, giving up three hits and striking out a season-high eight batters, improving his record to 2-3. Despite his lackluster pitching record, the sophomore from Ohio State has been one of the better relief pitchers in the South Division, owning a 1.88 ERA over 47 2/3 innings pitched and striking out a total of 37 batters.
Lakeshore will begin to round out their season, travelling to Wisconsin for a two-game series beginning tomorrow at 7:05 PM.
