The Madison Mallards scored four runs in the ninth thanks to David Whittle (San Diego State University) knocked out a pinch-hit grand slam to take the lead and defeat the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-2. Whittle went 1-for-1 scoring once with a grand slam in the ninth. Whittle was named the Northwoods League Position Player of the Night.
