La Crosse Steam Welcomes Fab Freshman from Grinnell College
Outfielder Lindsey Schultz Joins the Steam

LA CROSSE, WI – The La Crosse Steam continues to build a talented roster today as they announced the signing of outfielder, Lindsey Schultz.

The 5’4” Grinnell College freshman has played in 13 games thus far contributing to the team in many ways. Originally from Rochester, Minnesota, Schultz had a great high school career. Hitting .469 in her senior season with 14 RBI’s over 64 at-bats.

Lindsey Schultz and the rest of the Steam will open their 2024 campaign at Copeland Park & Events Center on June 15th when they take on Madison Softball.

Leveraging the 30-year success of the Northwoods League, the first for-profit Summer Collegiate Baseball League, Northwoods League Softball (NWLS) will be the first for-profit Women’s Summer Collegiate Softball League beginning play in the Upper Midwest in the summer of 2024. The purpose of the League will be to develop players for their college, Olympic and future professional play. Teams will be promoted similar to minor league baseball teams, playing games in front of fans in a fun, friendly, family-oriented environment.
