The people have spoken and the Lakeshore Chinooks mascot has a name: Gill.

Upon announcing the contest in late March, Chinooks fans submitted over 330 name ideas. The field was then narrowed down by taking the top three submissions: King, Gill, and Sammy. There was no runaway winner in the fan vote that followed. After over 800 votes, "Gill" was determined to be the winner by a seven vote margin!

Congratulations to Keagan McCarthy… the winner of our mascot naming contest. The McCarthy family will enjoy 4 tickets to a 2012 Chinooks game and a Go Riteway limo ride with Gill.
