The Lakeshore Chinooks offense came alive last night in Rochester as they beat the Honkers 16-3. The La Crosse Loggers fell to St. Cloud after a walk off in the bottom of the ninth by the Rox. The Loggers loss puts them a 1 1/2 game behind the Chinooks in the race to be crowned South Division 2nd Half Champions.

With the Chinooks win and the Loggers loss, Lakeshore’s magic number is now 1. The Chinooks either need a win or a Logger’s loss in order to clinch a playoff spot. Lakeshore starts a two game series in Madison against the Mallards with game time set for Saturday at 6:05pm and Sunday at 5:05pm. You can catch the action on the Northwoods League’s Youtube channel!

Lakeshore’s big win last night also helped them clinch home field advantage if they make the playoffs. If they advance to the playoffs, the Chinooks will host the Madison Mallards at Kapco Park on Monday, August 12th at 6:35pm for game 1 of the Northwoods League South Divisional Series.
