Grafton, WI – The Chinooks front office has announced the return of two fundraisers this summer at Kapco Park. Lakeshore has partnered with Mel's Charities and Habitat for Humanity of Ozaukee County for the past five seasons.
Assistant General Manager Eric Snodgrass had the following to say about the upcoming Ozaukee County Charity Nights: "Tom Stanton of Mel's Charities and Jim Meyer of Thrivent Financial/Habitat for Humanity of Ozaukee County have been great supporters of the Chinooks since day one. Both individuals and their non-profits have done great work right here in Ozaukee County and the Chinooks want to help raise funds and awareness for both organizations."
On June 10th, it will be our 6th annual Mel's Charities Night at Kapco Park. A special $18 fundraising package is available for purchase that will include a Reserved Grandstand ticket, Hot Dog, Chips, and a canned soda or water. For every package sold, $5 will go back to Mel's Charities in which all the money that is raised will be donated to local Ozaukee County Charities.
June 24th will be our second annual jersey auction presented by Thrivent Financial Associate James Meyer. All of the proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Ozaukee County.This year the Chinooks coaches and players will be sporting a patriotic themed jersey. The jersey auction will start at the time gates open at 5:35pm and will run until the end of the 6th inning. Winners from the jersey auction can meet their respective player after the game to receive their autographed jersey. Last year's Star Wars jersey auction raised over $3,200. Also available on June 24th is our special Habitat for Humanity fundraising package which features a Reserved Grandstand ticket, Hot Dog, Chips, and a canned soda or water plus $5 of every package sold will go to benefit Habitat for Humanity.
