The starting pitching from the Minot Hot Tots kept the game close, but a strong push to the finish line got the Mankato MoonDogs back into the win column for the first time in five games.

Henry Allen continued to do his thing at the plate for the Hot Tots, hitting another home run. His second home run of the summer tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth inning. Allen was credited with the First Command Play of the Game.

CJ Hanson, Minot’s starting pitcher, threw another gem. He went a season-high 5.2 IP with six strikeouts, another season-best. Hanson was pulled once Mankato took a 3-1 lead in the sixth inning. The MoonDogs poured on 14 more runs over the next three innings.

The lead grew too big, too fast for the Tots to come back from. Minot dropped to 0-6 with the loss and will wrap up the season-opening homestand Monday night against the MoonDogs. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 pm CT.

CJ Hanson recorded the SRT Fastest Pitch, touching 87 mph on a fastball. The Tots were able to draw three Buffalo Wild Wings Walks.
