Each season, talented college baseball student athletes from across the country come to Richmond to chase their dreams, and Host Families have the opportunity to become an important part of that journey.

By opening your home, you provide a comfortable place for a player to live while also becoming part of his support system in a new city. Across the Northwoods League, host families have formed lifelong friendships with players, staying connected long after the season ends.

For kids, hosting can mean gaining a role model and baseball mentor. Players often enjoy playing catch, sharing tips, and spending time with the families who welcome them. For adults, it is a chance to meet someone new, learn about another part of the country, and become even more connected to the team.

You might even host a future Major Leaguer. Hundreds of Northwoods League alumni have reached The Show, with many more playing professionally.

What Does Hosting Involve?

  • Provide a clean, safe, private bedroom, a few meals, and supportive environment.
  • Most players arrive around Memorial Day and stay through mid-August.
