New Radio Voice for the 2016 Season
The Wisconsin Woodchucks of the Northwoods League are pleased to announce the addition of Nate Gatter as the team’s new radio voice for the 2016 season. Nate is a sophomore at the University of Missouri majoring in broadcast journalism with an emphasis in radio/television sports.
Gatter will call all 72 Woodchucks’ games on WRIG (1390 AM), with all games simulcast on 93.9 FM and Sunday games tri-cast on 550 AM. Gatter will also assist in multimedia projects and team communications.
Gatter has extensive broadcasting experience, especially in summer collegiate baseball. Last summer, he called games for the Orleans Firebirds of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Before that, in the summer of 2014, Nate worked for the Lewis & Clark Baseball League in St. Louis.
"Having spent the past two years in summer collegiate baseball, I know what a terrific reputation the Northwoods League has, and I'm overjoyed to be working for the Woodchucks this summer,” said Nate.
In addition, Gatter calls select Missouri Tigers football, basketball, baseball, and women's soccer games for KCOU, the University of Missouri's student radio station. A lifelong baseball devotee, Nate can't wait to describe the 2016 season to all the terrific Woodchucks fans.
