Dipoto's strong start for naught

 

Mequon, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks (13-23, 0-1 Second Half) lost to the Lakeshore Chinooks (16-21, 1-0 Second Half), 10-4, at Kapco Park in Mequon, Wisconsin.

Jonathan Foster (Auburn) drove in a run with a single and scored another in the Woodchucks' three-run seventh inning.

Steve Passatempo (UMass Lowell) had a double; Connor Heady (Kentucky) drove in a pair of runs with two sacrifice flies and picked up walks in the first and third innings.

Jonah Dipoto (UC-San Diego) threw five quality innings for the 'Chucks, allowing just two earned runs (four total) on three hits while striking out four. He took the loss.
