Wausau, WIS- Oklahoma Sooners infielders Thomas Hughes and Brylie Ware will be coming to Wausau to play for the Wisconsin Woodchucks this summer.
INF – Thomas Hughes | 5’ 10” | Sophomore | Oklahoma
Thomas Hughes comes to the Woodchucks after a freshman campaign where he had a .375 OBP. During the summer of 2016 Hughes played for the Pittsfield Suns of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League where he hit .264 with 36 runs, 27 RBI and 11 doubles. Hughes was a four-year letter winner in high school where he earned All-City and All-State Large West honors as a senior.
INF- Brylie Ware | 5’ 11” | Sophomore | Oklahoma
Ware is off to an impressive start in 2017. He is currently batting .455 with two doubles and 6 RBI. Prior to his time at OU Ware was a key player for Neosho County Community College where he finished the regular season as the nation’s leader in home runs (29), RBI (122) and batting average (.589). Ware was named the NJCAA Player of the Year in 2016.
