Wausau, WI – The Woodchucks came into this afternoon’s game on the road facing the Rockford Rivets and looking for their third straight win. The Chucks fell behind early 2-0, but came back and held on the 6-2 win.
The Chucks were behind 2-0 in the 1st inning but came right back in the top of the 3rd with an RBI single from Jaren Shelby.
The Woodchucks also added two runs in the top of 4th with Reese Alexiades scoring on a wild pitch and a RBI walk from Brandt Broussard. This gave the Chucks a 3-2 lead.
The Chucks added some insurance runswith an RBI double from catcher Dom DeRenzo to make it 4-2. Two runs came home for the Chucks in the top of the 7th from an error, making the score 6-2.
Chucks relievers Drew Holweger and Frank Frate combined with four scoreless innings to hold onto the lead for the win.

Woodchucks catcher Dom Derenzo had quite the day at the plate going 2-3 with an single, an RBI double and he reached base four times with two walks.
