Rochester, Minn. (NWL) – Ben Abernathy (West Virginia University) from the Wausau Woodchucks earned Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night, throwing six scoreless innings with six strikeouts. Abernathy has thrown a total of 20 innings this season with 16 strikeouts to earn his first Northwoods League Award. Abernathy was a key part of the Woodchucks success as they took down the Kalamazoo Growlers.
Ryan Sepede (Brigham Young University) from the Wausau Woodchucks earned Northwoods League Player of the Night going two for four with two home runs and four RBI. Sepede had a total of 16 hits on the season with 13 RBI and 5 home runs. The Woodchucks took down the Kalamazoo Growlers 23-5 tonight with Sepede leading the offense.
