Chucks Sign Georgia Highlands Infielder Zayd Brannigan for 2023 Season

Wausau, WI – The Woodchucks are excited to welcome Zayd Brannigan, a slugger from Georgia Highlands College to their team for the 2023 season.

This season at at Georgia Highlands Zayd has a .303 batting average, with 27 hits, 5 homeruns, 23 RBIs and a SLG of .584. Last season Zayd scored 44 runs while hitting .344, with 9 homeruns, and 62 RBIs off of 63 hits. Before going to GHC Brannigan played high school ball at Dominion Christian in Kenessaw Georgia.

The Woodchucks start their 30th season of Northwoods League Baseball in Madison, WI on Monday, May 29th. The team returns home for the 2023 home opener at Athletic Park on Tuesday, May 30th.
