Battle Jacks Win Doubleheader
WAUSAU, Wis. – Battle Creek took game two against Wausau at Athletic Park winning 10-8 and sweeping Tuesday’s doubleheader.
Wausau (7-8/27-23) would have an electric start, scoring five runs in the first and three more in the second.
The Woodchucks looked to have the game in control until Battle Creek (10-7/20-31) would score eight runs in the fifth – highlighted by a Brock Daniels (Missouri) two-out grand slam which would tie the game.
The Battle Jacks would score two more in the sixth, giving them their first and only lead they needed to win.
Key Moments:
Drew Berkland (Minnesota) had a two-hit game, including his fifth home run of the season. His three-run long ball to left field at the time gave Wausau a 8-0 lead.
