Woodchucks Sign Montevallo Outfielder for 2026 Season

Wausau, WI – The Wausau Woodchucks are thrilled to announce the signing of Caleb Karll for the 2026 season. Karll will be coming off his junior season at the University of Montevallo.

Originally from Fitchburg, Wisconsin, Karll attended high school at Madison West High School, earning First Team All-Conference as a junior and senior and All-City Player of the Year as a senior. He previous played at Ohio University where he batted .297 through 2 seasons. Karll previous played for the Madison Mallards and Lakeshore Chinooks during the summer of 2024 and for the Westfield Starfires in the Futures League last summer.

 

In his first year with Montevallo, Karll is currently batting .305 through 33 games. Sor far this spring, he has driven in 22 RBIs with nine doubles and a triple. In the field, Karll has maintained a .976 fielding percentage with 63 putouts and 17 assists.

 

The Wausau Woodchucks are gearing up for an exciting 2026 season! Opening Day at Athletic Park for the Woodchucks is Thursday, May 28th against the Green Bay Rockers at 6:35 PM, featuring a Wisconsin Lottery Hat Giveaway for the first 500 fans 18 and older.
