Woodchucks Promote Three Front Office Staff

Wausau, WIS – The Wisconsin Woodchucks are pleased to announce promotions for Traci Wisz, Bailey Schepp and Megan Birchmeier. All three promotions reflect the outstanding work that each of these ladies has done over their careers with the Woodchucks.

Traci Wisz is being promoted to Assistant General Manager. She has been with the organization since 2015, when she was hired to improve the Woodchucks’ Social Media efforts and was quickly promoted to Director of Ticket Sales & Operations. Under Traci’s leadership, the Woodchuck’s have seen tickets sales increase all three years. She is a champion of customer service, working hard to provide an enjoyable fan experience. Her leadership has also seen the Woodchuck’s social media interaction improve across the board. “The Woodchucks are very fortunate to have a person with Traci’s talent, creativity and drive,” Stated team owner Mark Macdonald. “On a daily basis, she oversees all aspects of the ticket department and social media. For many fans, Traci has become the face of the Woodchucks and this promotion reflects her importance.”

Traci has a degree in Recreation Management from MSU-Mankato. In addition to her work with the Woodchucks, Traci has also been an important contributor to the Chamber’s young professional group HYPE and is involved with United Way’s Emerging Leaders & Women in Action.

Bailey Schepp is being promoted to Director of Group Accounts. Bailey joined the Woodchucks in 2016 and has been focused on group sales for the past two seasons. Her efforts have helped the Woodchucks set a record for ticket sales during the 2017 season, and has been directly responsible for bringing many new fans to Athletic Park. Bailey works hard to provide outstanding customer service and provide every group and fan with an enjoyable fan experience. Mark Macdonald commented, “Bailey really stepped forward as a leader during the 2017 season. She was asked to step in and fill some voids, and proved very capable. In addition to her ticketing responsibilities, she oversaw on-field entertainment, community relations and many of the other details that go into game day operations.”

Bailey graduated from UW – Platteville in December of 2015 with a degree in Media Studies with an emphasis in Public Relations and joined the Woodchucks shortly after. Outside of the Woodchucks, she is very active with Wausau Community Theatre.

Megan Birchmeier is being promoted to Director of Operations from her previous role as the Director of Food and Beverage. Over the course of a season, Megan is responsible for a concession operation that serves 50,000 fans and numerous group outings. She is also challenged to hire, train, and mentor 75 temporary summer employees, many whom are in their first job. Megan is an extremely hard worker, with tremendous attention to detail, and this promotion reflects her importance to the organization. Every night brings new surprises, including the weather, and Megan has shown the ability to adapt and compensate for numerous contingencies.

“Megan has been an important contributor to the improved fan experience at Athletic Park,” said Mark Macdonald. “When Megan came to the Woodchucks in the spring of 2016, she was faced with a huge challenge. We had just completed the Phase 2 renovations and the new concession and group outing areas needed to be incorporated into game day operations. Megan stepped up to the challenge.” Megan graduated from Central Michigan University in 2016 with a degree in Human Resources. While in college, she worked in catering operations and did a stint at the Disney Corporation. She joined the Woodchucks in April of 2016.
