The Battle Creek Bombers fell to the Green Bay Bullfrogs 10-7 in six innings Wednesday night. The game was called after six innings due to rain.

The Bombers trailed early in the game. Going into the bottom of the third inning, the Bombers trailed Green Bay 9-0. With one out in the bottom of the third, Cody Sporrer and Nick Poirier each hit singles and then Daniel Patzlaff walked. Left fielder Daniel Jipping hit a double, which scored Sporrer and Poirier.

After the Bullfrogs added another run in the fourth inning, the Bombers tacked on two more in the bottom of the frame. With one out, Truman Brown reached on an error. After Nick Podkul followed with a single, Truman Brown scored on a passed ball. Ryan Dorow hit a one-out double, scoring Nick Podkul, making the score 10-4.

As the top of the fifth inning was about to begin, the umpires called time, and a rain delay followed. The delay lasted just over an hour.

When the delay was over, the Bullfrogs went down in order in the top of the fifth inning. Daniel Patzlaff led off the bottom of the fifth by reaching on a walk. Daniel Jipping followed with a single. After Christian Helsel popped out, Dean Miller singled to left field, scoring Daniel Patzlaff. After Truman Brown flew out to center field, Nick Podkul worked a one-out walk. Ryan Dorow then singled into right field, scoring Jipping and Miller, as the Bombers cut the game to 10-7 in favor of the Bullfrogs.

The game was called in the middle of the seventh inning.

The Bombers now welcome the Rochester Honkers to Battle Creek for a two-game series starting Thursday night at 7:05.
