Saturday’s Northwoods League slate featured 12 games. The Great Lakes West #1 St. Cloud Rox walked it off with a two-run bomb and beat the Great Plains East #4 Thunder Bay Border Cats 8-6.

Wausau 6, Green Bay 1

The Wausau Woodchucks defeat the Green Bay Rockers 6-1. Vance Sheahan (University of South Carolina Upstate) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run, collecting three RBI on the night. Jake Berkland (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and three stolen bases. Christian Smith-Johnson (Texas AM University-Corpus Christi) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Lane Allen (Blinn College) went 1-for-3 with a solo home run. Jonathan Amonica (Keiser University) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing six hits, one run, and one walk.

Kalamazoo 10, Royal Oak 1

The Kalamazoo Growlers run up the score and defeat the Royal Oak Leprechauns 10-1. Jeremy Comer (University of Tennessee) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 4-for-5 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. Eric Becker (University of Virginia) went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Eamon Horwedel (University of Michigan) earned the win throwing nine innings with six strikeouts allowing seven hits, one run, and one walk.

St. Cloud 8, Thunder Bay 6

The St. Cloud Rox walked it off and beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats 8-6. Noah Greise (University Nebraska Omaha) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a walk-off two-run home run. Ben Higdon (University of Southern Mississippi) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run and a double. Braden Calise (University of Central Florida) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Jackson Hauge (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and one RBI. Riley Iffrig (Indiana State University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a two-run home run and an RBI double. Cole Ketzner (University of South Alabama) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Brandon Jaenke (Viterbo University) earned the win throwing two innings with five strikeouts allowing two hits and one run.

Madison 6, Wisconsin Rapids 5

The Madison Mallards walk it off to take down the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6-5. Davis Hamilton (North Dakota State University) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Korbyn Dickerson (University of Louisville) went 1-for-5 with a double and one RBI. Charlie Marion (Madison College) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and one stolen base. Chris Arroyo (University of Virginia) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a two-run home run and a solo home run. Ryan Osinski (University of Virginia) earned the win throwing one scoreless innings with one strikeout allowing one walk.

Traverse City 14, Battle Creek 5

The Traverse City Pit Spitters used a monster third inning scoring twelve runs to help defeat the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 14-5. Ethan Guerra (University of Arizona) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a bases-clearing triple and double. Jt Sokolove (Illinois State University) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Trent Reed (Lawrence Technological University) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI and one stolen base. Mason Hamlin (University of Texas of the Permian Basin) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double and a triple, collecting one RBI. Troy Stukenberg (Saint Xavier University) went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Parker Wakeman (University of West Florida) earned the win throwing five innings with five strikeouts allowing seven hits, three earned runs, and three walks.

Rochester 7, La Crosse 3

The Rochester Honkers defeat the La Crosse Loggers 7-3 in tonight’s matchup. Brendan O’Sullivan (University of Nevada Las Vegas) went 1-for-2 with a solo home run. Paul Schoenfeld (Colorado Mesa University) went 2-for-2 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Mattie Thomas (University of San Francisco) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Grant Macarthur (San Joaquin Delta College) went 3-for-4 scoring twice with a double. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 3-for-5 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Joey Craska (New Jersey Institute of Technology) earned the win throwing four innings with four strikeouts allowing four hits, three runs, and one walk.

Eau Claire 10, Waterloo 5

The Eau Claire Express used a monster second inning scoring nine runs to help beat the Waterloo Bucks 10-5. Ethan Farris (Texas State University) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a grand slam and a solo home run. Dylan O’Connell (Western Kentucky) went 2-for-4 scoring once with one RBI and two stolen bases. Brady Blake (University of Kansas) went 1-for-3 scoring once with one RBI and one stolen base. Luke Finn (East Texas Baptist University) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run. Lucas Moore (University of Louisville) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double, two RBI, and three stolen bases. Ryan Speshyock (Stanford University) earned the win throwing five innings with nine strikeouts allowing four hits, three walks, and one run.

Kenosha 5, Rockford 3

The Kenosha Kingfish defeated the Rockford Rivets 5-3 in tonight’s matchup. Will Plattner (University of Alabama) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Christopher Schuchart (Davidson College) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Tyler Bickers (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) went 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Kokomo 8, Lakeshore 6

The Kokomo Jackrabbits collect ten hits in their 8-6 victory over the Lakeshore Chinooks. Ethan Rossi (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Aidan Mcaskie (Charleston Southern University) went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI. Jack Anderson (Case Western Reserve University) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles. Nash Rippen (Wallace State Community College-Hanceville) went 1-for-3 scoring once with a double and one RBI. Brennan Cohen (University of Wisconsin Eau Claire) earned the win throwing seven innings with four strikeouts allowing six hits, two runs, and two walks.

Mankato 12, Bismarck 8

The Mankato MoonDogs scored five runs in the seventh to defeat the Bismarck Larks 12-8. Jake Duer (Texas Christian University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Connor Bain (Drury University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a solo home run and one stolen base. Duluth 8, Fond du Lac 7

The Duluth Huskies scored six runs in the third to help beat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 8-7. Ethan Cole (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and four RBI. Brady Sullivan (Texas A&M University) went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI. Tyler Palmer (University Nebraska Omaha) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two stolen bases. Caden Shapiro (Princeton University) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with two RBI and two stolen bases. Tyler Gray (Undecided) earned the win throwing 3.1 innings with two strikeouts allowing four walks, four runs, and two hits.

Willmar 11, Badlands 8

The Willmar Stingers score six runs in the fourth to help take down the Badlands Big Sticks 11-8. Brayden Hellum (Kirkwood Community College) went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run. Andrew Sojka (California State University Northridge) went 3-for-4 scoring three times with a solo home run, a double, an RBI single, and one stolen base. Dariel Osoria (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Adam Haber (Wofford College) went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run. Gabe D’Arcy (University of San Diego) went 1-for-5 scoring twice with a solo home run and two stolen bases. Cole Tabor (Texas State University) went 2-for-3 with a solo home run.
