Sunday’s Northwoods League slate featured 13 games. The Great Lakes West #2 Wausau Woodchucks take down the Great Lakes West #1 Madison Mallards 10-6 in tonight’s matchup.

Kalamazoo 10, Battle Creek 3

The Kalamazoo Growlers used a monster third inning scoring seven runs to dominate the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 10-3. Kevin Krill (Eastern Michigan) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run. Gabe Springer (Stanford University) went 2-for-3 scoring once with a pair of doubles, two RBI, and one stolen base. Brodey Acres (Walsh University) went 3-for-3 scoring three times with one RBI and two stolen bases. Liam O’Brien (Hawai’i) earned the win throwing six innings with eight strikeouts allowing two hits, two runs, and two walks. 

La Crosse 21, Fond du Lac 12

The La Crosse Loggers run up the score on the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders beating them 21-12. Case Sanderson (University of Nebraska) went 3-for-6 scoring twice with a double and five RBI. Ian Collier (Texas State University) went 2-for-5 scoring three times with a solo home run and collecting three RBI. Luke Anderson (BYU) went 3-for-6 scoring two times with three doubles and three RBI. Drew Howard (University of Evansville) went 2-for-3 scoring twice with a solo home run. Preston Knott (Northwestern University) went 2-for-6 scoring once with a double, two RBI, and one stolen base. Kassius Thomas (Stanford University) earned the win throwing five innings with four strikeouts allowing five earned runs, three hits, and two walks.

Wisconsin Rapids 16, Green Bay 8

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters collected eighteen hits in their 16-8 victory over the Green Bay Rockers. Chris Arroyo (University of Virginia) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a two-run home run and an RBI double. Cashel Dugger (University of California Los Angeles) went 2-for-5 with a solo home run. Jorge De Goti (Nova Southeastern University) went 3-for-6 scoring three times with a double and two RBI. Nick Harms (Case Western Reserve University) went 3-for-4 with a three-run home run and a two-run single. Payton Mansfield (Jacksonville State University) went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run. Mateo Matthews (Wagner College) went 1-for-5 with a solo home run. Dakota Crumbley (Walters State Community College) earned the win throwing four innings with two strikeouts allowing four hits, two runs, and two walks.

Lakeshore 11, Rockford 5

The Lakeshore Chinooks score five runs in the sixth to take the lead and take down the Rockford Rivets 11-5. Dominic Kibler (Kent State University) went 1-for-2 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Griffin Cameron (University of Kentucky) went 3-for-5 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and two stolen bases. Tre Hondras (Marshall University) went 1-for-3 scoring twice with a double, one RBI, and one stolen base. Jack Savitch (Louisiana State University-Shreveport) earned the win throwing one inning allowing two hits, two runs, and two walks.

Kenosha 7, Traverse City 4

The Kenosha Kingfish had a monster sixth inning scoring seven runs to defeat the Traverse City Pit Spitters 7-4. Patrick Graham (Wabash Valley College) went 1-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Michael Perazza (West Virginia University) went 1-for-4 scoring once with two RBI. Camden Traficante (Embry Riddle Aeronautical University) went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBI. Brendan Roberts (Carthage College) earned the win throwing 2.1 innings with one strikeout allowing two hits, two walks, and one run.

Eau Claire 6, Thunder Bay 5

The Eau Claire Express pulled through with the win beating the Thunder Bay Border Cats 6-5. Gabe Richardson (University of Minnesota-Duluth) went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run. Jake Busson (Iowa Central Community College) went 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI. Garrett Sloan (Bowling Green State University (OH)) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a three-run home run. Trey Fikes (Three Rivers College (MO)) went 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Owen Weadge (University of Sioux Falls) earned the win throwing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts allowing one hit and one walk.

St. Cloud 11, Badlands 9

The St. Cloud Rox take down the Badlands Big Sticks 11-9 in tonight’s matchup. Camden Kaufman (New Mexico State University) went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and one stolen base. Jackson Hauge (University of Kansas) went 2-for-5 scoring twice with a double and two RBI. Ben Higdon (University of Southern Mississippi) went 2-for-4 scoring once with a double and two RBI. Evan Appelwick (Miami University Ohio) went 2-for-6 scoring twice with a solo home run and a two-run single. Luke Shannahan (Oklahoma College-Tonkawa) went 2-for-4 scoring twice with a solo home run and one stolen base. Zach Selfon (Northwestern University) went 3-for-4 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Kasey Crawford (University of Kansas) earned the win throwing 3.2 innings with six strikeouts allowing four hits, one run, and one walk.

Bismarck 9, Minot 4

The Bismarck Larks used a monster sixth inning scoring seven runs to defeat the Minot Hot Tots 9-4. Ethan Thomas (University of Utah) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run. Ethan Mcnisk-Heider (Tarleton State University) earned the win throwing six innings with two strikeouts allowing five hits, three runs, and one walk.

St. Cloud 5, Badlands 2

Duluth 8, Waterloo 7

The Duluth Huskies scored four runs in the third to help beat the Waterloo Bucks 8-7. Cardell Thibodeaux (Southern University) went 2-for-4 scoring three times with a solo home run. Charlie Sutherland (University of Minnesota) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double, three RBI, and one stolen base. Mankato 11, Willmar 4

The Mankato MoonDogs collected sixteen hits in their 11-4 victory over the Willmar Stingers. Zach Stroh (Minnesota State University Mankato) went 2-for-5 scoring once with a double and three RBI. Ty Rumsey (University of Evansville) went 2-for-4 scoring once with two RBI and one stolen base. Wausau 10, Madison 6

The Wausau Woodchucks take down the Madison Mallards 10-6 in tonight’s matchup. Max Galvin (Oklahoma State University) went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run.
