DICKINSON, ND – Badlands Big Sticks Vice President Jason Watson proudly announced today the re-signing of right-handed pitcher Garret Lundmark for his third season in navy blue.
“It’s an easy decision to bring a guy like Garret back,” said Watson. “With one of the most formidable arms in the league last season, he’s always ready to deliver the innings we need.”
Last season, Lundmark showcased his prowess for the Big Sticks, boasting an impressive 1.93 ERA (32.2 IP, 9 ER) with 12 walks, 28 strikeouts, and a 1.04 WHIP. His stellar performance earned him a well-deserved spot on the All-League Team last summer. Standing at six-foot-two and weighing two-hundred pounds, Lundmark previously pitched for the Big Sticks in 2022, where he demonstrated his skill by allowing only 4 earned runs in 10 innings pitched, boasting a 3.60 ERA, issuing just 2 walks, and striking out 11.
Hailing from Spokane, WA, Lundmark currently attends Spokane Falls Community College. Notably, Garret’s older brother, Carson, also donned the Big Sticks uniform, marking the FIFTH consecutive season that a member of the Lundmark family has represented the team. Carson’s tenure with the team spanned from 2020 to 2022, with the brothers even overlapping during the 2022 season.
Garret Lundmark is the Big Sticks fifth player (fourth pitcher) to be signed, and he is the second to return to Dickinson.
