DICKINSON, ND – The Badlands Big Sticks have announced today that they have re-signed outfielder Keenan Proctor for his second season with the team.
“I am so excited for the chance to come back and see the wonderful people of Dickinson again,” said Proctor when asked about returning.
Last season, Proctor showcased his ability from the left side of the plate posting a .368 batting average (25 hits, 68 at-bats) which ranked second on the team (min. 50 AB). Proctor also added four doubles, two triples, and a homerun to solidify a team-high .529 slugging percentage (total bases/at-bats). In addition to his prowess at the plate, Proctor also made an impact with his legs as he stole 16 bases, ranking third on the team, despite only joining for the latter half of the season.
The six-foot-one, 190-pound sophomore currently attends the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he appeared in seven games in 2023 as a true freshman. Prior to college, he attended Valor Christian High School (Highlands Ranch, CO), where he was the number two ranked outfielder in his class from the state of Colorado.
Proctor is the second position player to be signed for the 2024 season, making him the sixth player overall to join the team.
