DICKINSON, ND – The Badlands Big Sticks have signed outfielder Adam Haber to a contract for the 2024 season. The announcement was made by Vice President Jason Watson.
“Bringing Adam onboard is a significant move for us,” stated Watson. “His prowess as a left-handed batter adds depth to our lineup, and his versatility promises to make a substantial impact on all facets of the game.”
Haber, currently in his debut year at Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC, previously showcased his talent over two seasons at Chattanooga State Community College. His standout performance in 2023 was instrumental in securing a conference championship for his team. Across 57 games, he boasted impressive statistics, tallying 67 hits in 187 at-bats with a slash line of .364/.508/.440. Not only did he frequently find his way across the plate, scoring 59 runs, but he also contributed 41 RBIs, culminating in a stellar 45-12 record for the Tigers.
His impact was equally pronounced during his freshman campaign in 2022, where he demonstrated consistency and skill across 53 games, scoring 59 runs and driving in 39, with a slash line of .340/.468/.429. Over his two years with the Tigers, Haber also succeeded in swiping 33 bases while maintaining an impressive BB/K ratio of 2.53, having struck out only 32 times in 331 at-bats.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior bats from the left side of the plate and is pursuing a major in finance. Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Haber expressed eagerness to forge new bonds and contribute positively alongside his teammates.
Haber’s signing marks the third addition to the position players’ roster and the second outfielder for the Badlands Big Sticks’ 2024 campaign.
