DICKINSON, ND – The Badlands Big Sticks have announced today that they have re-signed right-handed pitcher Braxton Greenburg for a third consecutive season.
Last season, Greenburg flourished as a shutdown arm for the Big Sticks as he finished the season with an impressive 2.28 ERA (30.2 IP, 10 ER) with 10 walks, 35 strikeouts, and a 1.11 WHIP. In 2022. Greenburg’s first season with the team, he posted a 4.38 ERA (39 IP, 19 ER) with 20 walks, 39 strikeouts, and a 1.44 WHIP. His usage in 2022 was mainly from the starting rotation while, in 2023, he showcased his ability to come out of the bullpen and shut down opposing hitters.
Greenburg currently attends Concordia University, Nebraska where he has pitched in three games for the Bulldogs this season. The six-foot-three, 185-pound junior spent his first two collegiate seasons at Mayville State University, earning a first-team all-conference award and an honorable mention all-conference award in those two seasons with the Comets. Greenburg is currently pursuing a major in Strategic Communication.
Braxton joins Garret Lundmark as the only Big Sticks this year to re-sign for their third straight season with the organization.
