DICKINSON, ND – The Badlands Big Sticks have announced the return of dynamic outfielder Quade Peters. The 2024 season will mark the third consecutive year that he has joined the team.
Peters was a sparkplug for the Big Sticks in 2023 playing in 35 games and slashing .293/.379/.398 while adding two home runs and 19 runs batted in. He proved his athleticism even further by leading the Big Sticks with 19 stolen bases on the season and finishing third in runs scored with 28. Peters build off his performance in 2022 where he played in 33 games, stole 15 bases, and slashed .264/.404/.302.
Quade Peters is currently a junior at Eastern Illinois University (Charleston, IL) where, in the 2024 season, he has played in 19 of team’s 21 games and is a perfect 3/3 on stolen base attempts for the Panthers.
Prior to attending Eastern Illinois, Peters spent the 2023 season at Iowa Central Community College. There, he played in 55 games slashing .378/.469/.590 and hitting seven home runs with 45 runs batted in as well as stealing 23 bases on the year. In 2022, his Freshman year of college, Peters attended the University of Jamestown where he played in 52 games, batted .324/.435/.468, hit four home runs, and stole 21 bases.
Quade attended high school at West Fargo Sheyenne helping lead the Mustangs to a North Dakota Class A baseball state championship during his senior year of 2021. Peters was also selected to the ND All-State baseball team during that season.
