St. Cloud, MN- The Badlands Big Sticks win a tight one against the St. Cloud Rox 2-1
This game was a pitching duel for the ages. For the Rox, Brandt Thompson would get the start on the mound. He would go 7 scoreless innings while giving up only 6 hits and striking out 7. The Big Sticks would start their top ace Tyler Conklin and he would shove. Going a full 7 scoreless innings also, he would only give up 2 hits and five walks and get 3 strikeouts.
The Big Sticks get the scoring started in the top of the 8th inning. Dallis Moran would last five batters after he loaded the with two walks and hit by pitch. Candon Dahle would only give up one hit: a Troy Berg 2 RBI single that ultimately decided the game. The Rox would try to start a rally in the 9th with a Francesco Barbieri RBI single. Brayden Mccollough would be able to keep his cool and finish out that game.
